Whether you’re new to orthodontic treatment or you had braces as a kid, we can help you achieve your dream smile.

Here’s what you need to know about Invisalign aligners and why they continue to be a popular option for orthodontic patients.

What Are Invisalign Aligners?

Invisalign clear aligners are nearly invisible trays that fit snugly over your teeth. They work by applying constant gentle pressure, which moves your teeth little by little over the course of several months.

What Can I Expect During the Invisalign Process?

During your initial consultation, one of our Invisalign dentists will take a 3D digital scan of your teeth. This process is fast and noninvasive while giving us a comprehensive image of your smile so we can plan treatment.

When you’re ready to start Invisalign treatment, we’ll call you back to one of our offices to pick up your first set of aligners. In general, each set of aligners is meant to be worn for about one to two weeks before you move onto the next set.

During this time, you’ll need to schedule routine checkups with our Invisalign providers so they can monitor your progress and ensure you’re on track. You’ll also be responsible for wearing your Invisalign clear aligners 20 to 22 hours per day.

How is Invisalign Treatment Different From Braces?

Unlike traditional metal braces, most people won’t even realize that you’re wearing Invisalign clear aligners. Since Invisalign treatment is discreet, many people prefer it to metal braces.

Clear aligners from Invisalign are also removable, which means you’ll be able to continue eating your favorite foods. With metal braces, you’re not afforded this freedom since certain foods can damage wires and brackets.

How Long Does Invisalign Treatment Last?

Depending on your circumstances, you could complete Invisalign treatment in as little as six months. However, it’s important to remember that each patient is different. For this reason, you shouldn’t compare yourself to other people wearing Invisalign clear aligners.

The length of your Invisalign treatment plan will depend on patient compliance and the complexity of your case. For example, your orthodontic treatment will take longer if you don’t wear your aligners at least 20 to 22 hours per day. Likewise, a more complex case will require more time to treat.

What are the Benefits of Invisalign Treatment?

Achieve a healthier, more attractive smile in as little as six months! Once you complete orthodontic treatment, you’ll be able to enjoy improved confidence and dental health. Not to mention, Invisalign treatment is much more discreet than traditional metal braces. This means that you’ll be able to move through life with confidence—even when you’re in the middle of orthodontics.

Who’s a Candidate for Invisalign Treatment?

In general, we recommend Invisalign for teens and adults. This is because wearing clear aligners requires patience, discipline, and willpower. During Invisalign treatment, you’ll have to resist the temptation to remove your aligners. After all, in order for Invisalign to work, you’ll need to wear your clear orthodontic aligners 20 to 22 hours per day.
