The cosmetic bonding procedure takes one trip to our office. This means that you’ll be able to enjoy a more attractive smile in as little as one appointment. To improve the appearance of your front teeth, our cosmetic dentists will blend composite resin to match the exact color of your enamel. They’ll then clean, polish, and etch the receiving surface of your tooth so it’s ready for the bonded material.
Next, our dentist will apply the composite resin material and mold it to match the contour of your tooth. That way, you won’t be able to tell where the ends and your natural enamel begins. For the final step, our dentist will use a special light or laser to bond the material in place.
How Do I Care for Bonded Teeth?
Take care of your bonded teeth as you do the rest of your smile. This means brushing twice a day for two minutes at a time. You should also be flossing once a day to remove any food particles or plaque caught between teeth. We also recommend that you schedule a routine teeth cleaning and exam with us at least every six months.
